The concierges at shopping malls are generally responsible for providing information about the building such as shops, eating outlets or special events within the mall and surrounding areas to the employees and visitors to the buildings. They are also responsible for managing the lost and found department and assisting visitors in retrieving and returning lost items.
At high-end residential complexes, concierges, apart from providing information, their job scope can include but is not limited to answering queries over the phone, handling parcels for the residents, answering emails requesting information, booking taxis and assisting residents or visitors in non-emergency situations.
